In typical Film Music Notes style, the course has three lessons, and here are their titles:
- Lesson 1 – Special Uses of Repetition, Hemiola, and Syncopation
- Lesson 2 – Irregular Meters in Action Music
- Lesson 3 – Associations of Meters with Emotional Expressions
And here’s a sneak peek into the breakdown of Lesson 1:
Ensure you don’t miss out by signing up for an email notification when the course is released!

Can’t wait for this! JW uses such interesting rhythms in his action music orchestration I am excited to learn a new approach to my writing
Thanks, Tim! The course will be out very soon. Stay tuned…
Wow, this looks super cool! It will hopefully help me break my habit of starting every theme with a dotted quarter note.
Sounds like this course has been made for me, lol! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for, for a long time. It will be an insta-buy.
I’m looking forward to this. You do a great job Mark.
